Sexy Lingerie

While it's true that all lingerie is intended to look sexy, it's not quite as simple as just buying a lacy bra and panties combo.  There are a lot of factors to consider if you want to look sexy in lingerie, and it's never a good idea to go shopping for sexy lingerie without a good idea of what you want – although browsing to see what's available is always a good idea.  The following checklist makes a few suggestions as to things to keep in mind when buying sexy lingerie:

•    What colour or colours should it be?  It sounds pretty basic, but it's easy to get wrong.  When buying sexy lingerie, like with any other clothing, you need to consider how it will go with your eyes, your hair and your skin, as well as any other garments you might be wearing.  Only with sexy lingerie, it's even more important to get it right, or the sexy part can go right out the window.
•    What sort of look do you want to go for?  Sexy lingerie comes in a variety of different styles, covering everything from vintage elegance through to twenty-minutes-into-the-future kinky, and there's a wide range between those extremes.  You can also mix and match, if you're feeling brave.  But whatever style you're after, it's a good idea to look at the options – the first thing you find may not be the best thing, after all.
•    What garments do you want?  Generally, when you're buying sexy lingerie, you're not looking at just a single garment, but an ensemble of  garments, each of which needs to work with the others.  (And even if you are looking for just one garment, you probably want it to go with other garments you already possess.)
•    How much do you want to show?  Sexy lingerie is usually more about teasing than revealing, but it really depends on your personal tastes.  Garments can be more or less skimpy, fabrics can be less or more transparent, and you can wear as many layers as your like (for instance, you can wear a peignoir over pretty much any other lingerie).
•    How well will it fit?  It doesn't matter how great something looks on you if it's too tight to be comfortable – you might look sexy in it, but you won't feel it.  This is especially true of brassieres, but also applies to stockings, knickers and corsetry, among others.
•    Where do you plan to wear it? If you're only planning on wearing your sexy lingerie in the bedroom, covering it up when you're elsewhere, then you can go a lot further in terms of how much skin you want to show.  If you want your lingerie to double as outerwear, you may find that this restricts your buying options a little.

The greatest sexy lingerie in the world won't help you to look sexy if you don't feel sexy.  Fortunately, for most people, just getting dressed in their lingerie is more than enough to start getting turned on and feeling good.
